We are excited to start our Summer of Fun with amazing art activities!
Let's get Abstract! This week you will view the world through a new lens.

Activity One
Abstract Painting:
Students will become abstract painters and create art pieces like the famous painter Alma Woodsey Thomas. Watch the video below to learn a little about her and see some of her famous paintings. Then start your masterpiece.
Create your very own abstract art. Be creative and have fun!
Supplies: A sheet of paper, paint, and paintbrushes.
Once you have completed your masterpiece, upload it to our Show Your Creation section.
Activity two
Abstract Portrait:
Watch the step-by-step tutorial video below on how to draw an abstract face and then create your masterpiece.
Supplies: A sheet of paper, a black marker, crayons, or colored pencils.
Once you have completed your masterpiece, upload it to our Show Your Creation section.
Activity Three
Art Club:
Join us on the virtual campus on June 14th to participate in Art Club!
PK-5 Students will meet at 1 pm EST, and 6-12 Students will meet at 2:30 pm EST.
During Art Club, students will get to work on a fun abstract art activity, creating an Overlapping 3D Line Illusion drawing.
Supplies:
White paper
Black marker
Color Markers
Once you have completed your masterpiece, upload it to our Show Your Creation section.
